Member of the US House of Representatives from Ohio (1804-1878) and the only man to be both the son and the father of US presidents. ALS signed “J. Scott Harrison,” one page, 5 x 8, March 22, 1858. Harrison writes to an unidentified man about a requested daguerreotype. In part: “I have received no reply and I suppose you have not received letter or likeness. If you have not received it and desire it, I will try it again.” In fine condition, with light soiling and an old catalog description affixed at the top of the page. RRAuction COA.
