American artist (1867–1944) whose distinctive “Gibson Girl” illustrations defined the image of American women at the turn of the 20th century. Original vintage signed and inscribed ink sketch of a woman on an off-white 16.5 x 11.5 book page, with “The Education of Mr. Pipp,” printed on the reverse, signed and inscribed “To Edith Groome, from her friend, C.
