American cartoonist (born 1912) best known for the strip featuring the wisecracking maid Hazel, which later served as the basis for a popular television series. Original vintage signed and inscribed ballpoint sketch of Hazel on an off-white 8.5 x 11 sheet, signed and inscribed “Greeting to Sharon! Best wishes from Hazel & Ted Key, June 20, 1968”; and ten hardcover books, each signed on the first free end page in black ink by Key. Sketch has horizontal mailing folds, uniform light toning, a bit heavier to edges, and a few light spots, otherwise fine condition. Books rate very good to fine overall. RRAuction COA.
