Lunar module pilot (born 1933) for the Apollo 8 mission, the first lunar orbit mission, in December 1968. His photo “Earthrise” became one of the most recognizable images taken during the Apollo program. Glossy 8 x 10 photo dressed in a jacket and tie and holding a model rocket, signed and inscribed in blue felt tip “To Mary Margaret, with best wishes, Bill Anders, Apollo 8.” In very good condition, with moderate contrast to signature and portion of inscription, and some scattered light creases and surface impressions, mainly to upper portion of background.
