The underground cartoonist’s early contract for the controversial Fritz the Cat

DS, two pages both sides, 8.25 x 14, November 1, 1968. Agreement between Crumb and Viking Press for “a work tentatively entitled Fritz the Cat consisting of cartoons.” In fine condition, with horizontal folds. Crumb later withdrew from this Viking contract, citing heavy editing and censorship of his work. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
