In full: “It was considerate of you to write concerning news releases about the possibilities of my future political activities. These reports were as much news to me as they apparently were to you and many other people, for they did not originate with me, nor have I been able to determine specifically where they did originate. In response to queries, I expressed my feelings in this regard at a news conference in Washington, D.C., on July 19, 1963; and I have enclosed for you a copy of the statement I made at that time.” In fine condition, with a couple small areas of mild toning.
