TLS signed “FDR,” one page, 8 x 10.5, Navy Department letterhead, February 13, 1918. Travel orders issued to ordinance draftsman George Chadwick, sending him to Philadelphia to work under contract with the Baldwin Locomotive Works. Letter bears a stamped signature of Roosevelt, who was inked his initials under the signature. In very good condition, with light overall toning and soiling, several office stamps and notations, and several staple holes to top. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
