TLS, one page, 8 x 10.5, Office of the Vice President letterhead, January 9, 1954. Letter to Warren Woodward of Clinton, New York. In part: “I greatly appreciated receiving the invitation to speak at the annual state convention of the Sons of the American Revolution in Utica, New York on October 2 and I certainly wish it were going to be possible for me to accept it. “However, inasmuch as I am receiving a great number of requests to speak for Republican candidates for the House and Senate during the September and October campaign period, there is very little likelihood that I would be able to come to Utica on October 2. Consequently, I know you will understand my reason for declining your kind invitation.” Letter is archivally sleeved in acid-free Mylar. In fine condition. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
