Complete hand-addressed free frank, 5.75 x 3.5, which unfolds to 10 x 8, addressed in Van Buren’s hand to “Moses Dawson, Esq., Cincinnati, Ohio,” and franked above the address, “Free, M. Van Buren.” Panel also bears a February 15, Washington postmark as well as a “Free” stamp. Frank has been professionally silked on both sides. In very good condition, with central vertical fold to panel, light overall soiling, paper loss to bottom portion from seal, and aforementioned silking.
