Two items: color 8 x 10.5 magazine page affixed to a larger piece of cardboard, signed and inscribed in the bottom border in black felt tip, “My best wishes to Ted Du Bay, cordially, Norman Rockwell”; and a TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, May 13, 1969. In full: “I thought the sketch of the Indian by Mr. Wynter was very good indeed, and I am sure it is absolutely authentic. I may be able to incorporate some of it in the sign for the Corner House, but the main thing is, authentic or not, it must be definitely an Indian as compared with the Colonial gentleman who is shaking his hand.” In fine condition, with moderate creasing to the magazine page, and scattered creasing and soiling to the cardboard. Accompanied by a photo of one of Rockwell’s works. RRAuction COA.
