Letter to Marcella, written from “Casa de Tranquilidad.” In part: “The weather has been lousy so tell Rod he hasn’t missed much—everybody had the flu or the grippe or whatever the hell they call it here—The book is coming along fine. I think the publishers are going to get so much material they may decide to call it ‘the rise and fall of the Cuban empire.’” In fine condition, with central horizontal folds, one through a single letter of signature, and a few light wrinkles.
