He is most remembered, however, for the accounts of his work for British military intelligence during the Second World War, creating large-scale ruses, deception, and camouflage. Scarce vintage glossy 7.75 x 9.75 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To dear Mrs. Gray, with all good wishes, yours most sincerely, Jasper Maskelyne.” In fine condition, with a few light creases, some light contrast to small portions of signature and inscription, and some light rubbing to finish under signature.
