Air Force general (1893–1958) who commanded the famous Flying Tigers during World War II. Two items: TLS signed “C. L. Chennault,” one page, 8.5 x 11, CAT letterhead, May 3, 1951. Chennault responds to a collector’s request. In part: “Thank you very much for your nice letter dated 8 April 1951. I am glad to comply with your request for my autograph”; and a blue fountain pen signature, “C. L. Chennault, Maj. Gen. U.S.A. Ret’d.”, on a 5 x 3 card. In fine condition, with scattered light soiling to the card. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
