Color vintage 3.5 x 5.5 postcard photo of Rosa Banheur’s painting of Cody on horseback, signed and inscribed in blue ink “To Chas. Trego, Jr., W. F. Cody ‘Buffalo Bill.’” Photo also bears a facsimile signature to lower left corner. In fine condition, with some scattered light soiling and edge wear. The recipient’s father, Charles Trego was Cody’s close friend and Western ranch general manager. A bronze statue of cowboy Charles Trego (Sr.) remains for all to see today in Fairmount Park, Pennsylvania. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
