In part: “I can fully understand and feel your sorrow and moral outrage at the tragedy which befell your friend. All free nations should unite and make a common effort in order to put an end to this scourge. Let us hope that this aim will one day be achieved, but none of us can overlook the difficulties involved.”; and a glossy 3.5 x 5 photo of Begin, signed in the lower border in blue felt tip, “M.
