Talented American actor (1931–1968) who appeared in such films as Rebel Without a Cause and Twilight of Honor, for which he received an Academy Award nomination. He died of a prescription drug overdose at the age of 36. Vintage glossy 10 x 8 photo of Adams speaking to studio publicist Ted Ashton, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Ted—From one Hudson County success to another Hudson County success. Seriously Ted, thanks for all the help you’ve given me from the time we met (Mr. Roberts - My 1st picture) and I’m glad we’re together again on my 10th picture (No Time For Sergeants). I know this one is going to be real great for all of us. Again, thanks a million for everything from Midway & the Navy to Burbank & the Air Force. Ted Ashton, a Princeton graduate, began his motion picture career in 1947 in the publicity department at Warner Brothers. He soon became a unit publicist on many of the studios most successful films for the next 18 years. Among his many credits were Giant, Mister Roberts, Auntie Mame, East of Eden, Calamity Jane, The Green Berets, and Bound for Glory. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
