In 1983, following his rise to popularity as the lead guitarist on David Bowie’s Let’s Dance album, Vaughan released his debut album, Texas Flood, and the following year he released Couldn’t Stand the Weather, a commercial and critical success. He continued to tour and record, until his death at the age of 35 in a 1990 helicopter crash. Used 14” ambassador coated Remo drumhead, signed and inscribed in black felt tip, “To Mike, Stevie Ray Vaughan.” In very good condition, with expected surface wear and marks, and scattered light soiling, not detracting from the bold signature. A great item for display boasting a signature measuring a little over 8” long. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RRAuction COA.
