Translated in full: “My dear friend, When your violinist came in the mean time I was in Athena. I've arrived this morning and I found your delicious gift which gave me a deep happiness. Because it's yours and because it's so charming! Receiving some news from you is always good and I say thank you with all my heart which loves you and will love you forever."
