Hunter Esq,” and franked in the upper right, “Free Jeffer Davis, U.S.S.” Envelope also bears a May 28 postmark and stamped “Free.” In very good condition, with scattered toning and soiling, several fingerprint brushes to last name of signature, and some light creasing.
