Keyes a “Marshall of the United States in & for the District of Massachusetts.” Signed at the conclusion in black ink by Johnson, and countersigned by Secretary of State William Seward. Trimmed edges, show-through from multiple endorsements on reverse, and intersecting folds, otherwise fine condition. The white seal is intact but toned, and Johnson’s signature is crisp and clean.
