Description

TLS, one page, 7.75 x 9.5, Outlook letterhead, August 26, 1913. Letter to Secretary of the Treasury William G. McAdoo. In full: "I am really very much pleased at your courtesy. Am I at liberty to send your letter to Dulaney with one of my own in which I shall simply tell him to mind his own business and do his duty, and that if he does it to your satisfaction he will not be disturbed? I want him to feel that it is to you he has to look, and that he is to do his duty up to the handle and not think of anything else…I need hardly say that Dulaney has never had the power to be of even the smallest help to me politically, and I wrote of him merely because I hate to see humble people hurt if it can be helped.” Light haloing to last name of signature, staple holes to top left, several underlines and notations to text, and an office stamp to top right, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
