American commodore (1773–1843) who commanded the Constitution during the War of 1812. Ink endorsement signature, ”Isaac Hull,” on a larger one page manuscript document, 8 x 10, dated July 10, 1832, regarding the report of a travelling allowance. Written above his signature in another hand, “Mid. Ch. C. Barton has reported to me in obedience to his order of June 30th 1832.” In fine condition, with a couple partial separations along horizontal folds, and some scattered light toning.
