ALS signed “T,” on a 5.75 x 3.75 deckle-edge picture postcard of Costa Brava, April 29, to his high school teacher and friend, Catherine Wood. In full: “Boat ride very pleasant. Took 4 days to drive down here—all enjoyed it, especially the cat. Am writing my book. Our house charming,—also, we have to move June 15th, so looking for another house.” Although the date of the postmark is illegible, the commemorative stamp used on the postcard was issued in October of 1962, making the date of this postcard almost certainly April 1963. In fine condition, with mild edge toning, postmark over several words of text, and surface marks to image side. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
