Description

Writing to the editor of the intellectual elite Neuen Merku

Highly influential, Nobel Prize–winning German novelist and social critic (1875–1955) who penned such classics as Death in Venice and The Magic Mountain. ALS in German, both sides of a 3.5 x 5.5 personal notecard, March 12, 1919. Letter to Efraim Frisch, the publisher of the Neuen Merku in Munich. In part [translated]: “I totally agree that it takes the normal type. Even your business proposal to me to be right. That the book by Fischer appeared before the fall, is not to grow [in], because between the first edition of Mr. and dog 'and the general issue must take place a break. Hopefully, the Mercury sets with the curious concoction honor.” In fine condition, with four punch holes and a bit of scattered light soiling. The literary and political journal Der neue Merkur appeared in Germany between 1914 and 1925. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
