Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania (1724–1777). Ink signature, “John Morton,” on an off-white 4 x 2 slip clipped from a larger document. Double cloth matted and framed with a portrait of Morton’s home, to an overall size of 11 x 14.25. In fine condition, with a light vertical crease slightly affecting opening stroke of signature, some scattered light toning, and light show-through from text on reverse.
