Heavyweight boxing champion of the world, 1906–08. ALS signed “Tommy Burns, The World’s Heavyweight Champion in Life Eternal,” one page, 8.5 x 11, July 23, 1954. Burns responds to an admirer. In part: “It was a pleasure…and I thank you again, I believe I also sent you a photograph of myself by ordinary mail and expressed my thanks etc., should you not have received my photo, I’ll send you another one.” Even overall toning, punch holes to left edge, and intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, otherwise fine condition.
