“There is nothing definite in the report that Notre Dame and Pittsburgh will not play”

One quarter of the famed Four Horsemen of Notre Dame. TLS, one page, 8.25 x 10.75, University of Notre Dame Athletic Association letterhead, June 16, 1936. The fabled Horseman gives a football fan hope, in part: “At the present time there is nothing definite in the report that Notre Dame and Pittsburgh will not play in 1939. There are several complications to be ironed out, and I hope these can be negotiated satisfactorily so that it will be possible for us to play again.” In fine condition, with a line of pin holes to the bottom, intersecting folds, and a hint of light toning. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
