Ben Turpin

Popular silent-era screen comedian (1869–1940) whose most distinctive feature were his crossed eyes, which were reportedly insured against uncrossing by Lloyd’s of London. Bank check, 8.5 x 3.25, filled out in another hand and signed by Turpin, payable to Cash for $200.00, February 29, 1921. A couple small brushes to signature, light bank stamp over signature, two vertical folds to left side, and cancellation holes, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
