Description

Thelma Todd

American actress (1905–1935) best remembered for her appearances in such comedy classics as Monkey Business, Horse Feathers, and Another Fine Mess. Though her death from carbon monoxide poisoning at the age of 30 was ruled an accident, suspicious circumstances led to a number of theories of varying plausibility, including speculation that she was the victim of a “hit” ordered by gangster “Lucky” Luciano. Vintage matte-finish 5 x 7 photo of Todd with a cocker spaniel, signed in fountain pen. The reverse bears the typewritten date October 11, 1935. A touch of subtle silvering to dark portions, small spot of marginal skinning to one corner, and small marginal adhesive tab remnants (one just touching last name of signature), otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
