Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Maryland (1740–1799). Ink signature, “Wm. Paca, 10 Feb. 1783,” on an off-white 3 x 1.5 slip affixed to a larger slip. Slip is in turn affixed to a 7.25 x 9 card along with a portrait of Paca. A touch of mild toning and soiling, otherwise fine condition. In his 1995 reference History Comes to Life, Kenneth Rendell places Paca’s autograph material into the “rare” category among the Signers. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
