Lindbergh letter and flight-flown envelope

TLS signed “Charles A. Lindbergh,” one page, 6 x 6.5, Ford Motor Company letterhead, July 6, 1943. Letter to Clarence Root of the U. S. Weather Bureau. In full: “Thank you very much for your letter enclosing the clipping with Phil Love’s photograph, taken at the start of the St. Louis-Chicago Air Mail in 1926. I thoroughly appreciate your consideration in sending me this.” Double matted and framed with an original Ryan Aviation photo of Lindbergh standing in front of the Spirit of St. Louis, a 1928 Lindbergh-flown air mail envelope, and a commemorative medallion and pin, to an overall size of 24.75 x 21. In fine condition, with a few light creases and spots, and a light overall shade of toning. Oversized. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
