Longfellow quote from The Day Is Done

AQS on an off-white 7 x 4.5 sheet, signed at the conclusion, “Henry W. Longfellow, Jan. 25, 1867.” Longfellow pens the final stanza from his poem entitled “The Day Is Done.” “And the night shall be filled with music, And the cares, that infest the day, Shall fold their tents, like the Arabs, And as silently steal away.” Two vertical folds, scattered light wrinkling and creasing, toning along top edge, and scattered light skipping to quote and signature, otherwise fine condition.
