A trio of postal covers from the doomed Apollo 1 crew

Three postal covers: cover signed in black ink, “Edward H. White II, Capt. USAF,” bearing two Cape Canaveral and one Houston postmark; one signed in blue ink, “Virgil I. Grissom,” bearing a Cape Canaveral and Houston postmark; and a cover bearing an autopen signature of Roger Chaffee, and also bearing a Houston postmark. Accompanied by a fabulous unsigned color satin-finish 20 x 16 photo of the crew in their space suits. In fine condition, with cancellation over portion of Grissom’s signature, light toning and pencil remnants to White’s cover, and address and pencil remnants to Chaffee’s cover. Pre-certified Scott Cornish and RRAuction COA.
