Hawes responding to a note regarding a fellow politician, that the “senator’s comments seem to fit him exactly.” Truman adds a brief postscript underneath, “Hope you are in good health and that things are going well with you.” In fine condition, with a couple rusty paperclip marks and impressions to top edge, and a slightly rough left edge.
