Harding signs a Harris and Ewing portrait to the founder of modern advertising

Vintage matte-finish 10.5 x 15.75 Harris and Ewing profile portrait, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Albert and Flora Lasker, With highest personal regards and a grateful acknowledgement of a much-prized friendship. Warren G. Harding.” Double matted to an overall size of 15 x 20.25. Surface ding to forehead, some scattered light silvering to darker areas, a bit of light foxing to top border, and a few scattered surface marks, otherwise fine condition. Albert Lasker (1880-1952) was a prominent advertising executive during the first half of the 20th century. During his 40-year tenure with the Chicago-based Lord and Thomas, Lasker built the company into the largest advertising agency in the United States. Through his innovation and leadership, he helped to usher in the new age of modern advertising. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
