Oz soundtrack signed by the “Cowardly Lion,” originally acquired by Hollywood historian Tony Thomas

Wizard of Oz soundtrack album signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint on the inside gatefold, “To David from the ‘Cowardly Lion,’ Bert Lahr.” Matted and framed with a color photo of Lahr as the Lion, and four commemorative medallions, to an overall size of 30.25 x 23.25. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the daughter of the original owner, Hollywood’s Tony Thomas. She writes, in part: “My dad interviewed countless Hollywood personalities. He wrote 31 books on Hollywood history…The album you received was autographed to my brother…I’m not sure on how many occasions my dad met Burt [sic] Lahr, but he undoubtedly interviewed him.” In fine condition, with tape repair and paper loss to hinge, small ink notations, and a bit of light edge toning. Oversized. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
