Preston Sturges

Academy Award–winning American director and screenwriter (1898–1959) best known for his fast-paced, cleverly scripted screwball comedies. ALS in French, signed “Preston,” one page both sides, 5.25 x 7, The Dorchester, London letterhead, March 5, 1954. Sturges writes to Maurice [evidently his cinematographer, Maurice Barry], asking about a French invention called Simplifilm, which is about to be demonstrated in the United States. In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
