Lovingly preserved Harlow autograph with first-hand provenance

Vintage magazine cover for an edition of Screenland, signed and inscribed in blue ink, “To Ruth from Jean Harlow.” Cover is affixed to a 10 x 16 scrapbook page, with the following notation written in the original recipient’s hand. “Never will I forget that day we stood in that mob in a down-town Los Angeles department store and waited to get Jean Harlow’s autograph on these magazines. She was really a lovely person. Since her death in Aug. 1937, I value this autograph more than ever.” In very good condition, with light overall soiling to cover, several edge and corner creases, and brushing to portion of signature and inscription, with signature still legible. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
