Mercy, mercy me…Vintage Gaye photo

Popular soul and R&B singer-songwriter (1939–1984) who was one of Motown’s most successful artists during that label’s heyday in the 1960s and 1970s, recording such hits as “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)” and “I Heard It Through the Grapevine.” A day before his 45th birthday, Gaye was shot and killed by his father during an argument over a business matter. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 Tamla publicity photo of a young Gaye, signed in pink ink. In fine condition. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RRAuction COA.
