The first of three Martin M-130 four engine flying boats built for Pan American Airways and was used to inaugurate the first commercial Trans-Pacific air service from San Francisco to Manila in November 1935. Signed Commemorative air mail cover, 9.5 x 4.25, with a cachet honoring the first Trans-Pacific flight from San Francisco to Guam. Signed on the front in ink by Captain Edwin Musick, Captain R. D. Sullivan, V. A. Wright, Fred Noonan, W. T. Jarboe, George King, and C. D. Wright. Double matted and framed (without glass), with a photo of the plane and a printed caption, to an overall size of 19.25 x 26.25.
