Marie Dressler

Beloved Canadian actress (1868–1934) who, as a middle-aged ex-vaudevillian, became one of the biggest screen draws of the silent and early sound eras, winning an Academy Award for her performance in Min and Bill (1930). Well-done artist’s portrait drawing of Dressler highlighted by four aliens cavorting in the borders, pencil on a cream 8.25 x 10.5 card, signed in pencil by the artist, “Frank H. Watt, 8-1-33,” and also signed in ink “Very sincerely, Marie Dressler.” In fine condition, with a couple small pencil notations, and running of ink to beginning of sentiment from moisture exposure. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
