Description

The first two moonwalkers sign an edition of the New York Times documenting the day of their historic accomplishment

Original Late City Edition of the July 21, 1969, issue of the New York Times, with the headline announcing, “Men Walk on Moon; Astronauts Land on a Plain after Steering Past Crater,” and featuring three photos of Armstrong and Aldrin on the lunar surface, signed on the photos in black felt tip, “Neil Armstrong,” and “Buzz Aldrin.” In fine condition, with expected uniform toning, scattered edge wear, small tears and chipping, holes along bottom edge, and bisecting horizontal fold. The signatures remain quite bold. An interesting and unique item which would display quite nicely. Pre-certified Scott Cornish and RRAuction COA.
