At the peak of his power, Napoleon was in Amsterdam when he wrote to the Minister of War, General Henri Jacques Guillaume Clarke, in order to reorganize his troops. Ten days later, at the Battle of Arroyo dos Molinos, Spanish forces defeated French troops led by General Jean-Baptiste Girard, resulting in 300 French casualties and 1300 prisoners. An excellent glimpse of Napoleon preparing his troops for battle, highly suitable for display. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
