ALS signed “Ralph,” two pages both sides, 6 x 8, Hotel Algonquin letterhead, October 31, 1961. Letter to British theater manager and producer Hugh ‘Binkie’ Beaumont. In part: “I have read the Lawler play and although there seems improvement, the end leaves me puzzled. The piece has a fine flavor and perhaps the author can clear it up…I would love to ‘have a go’ at the part…I expect to be home early December, I would like to fit in an English film here & am I am not yet certain of its date. Is there any flexibility in the date that you must rehearse ‘School for Scoundrels’?” Accompanied by several unsigned carbons from Beaumont to Richardson regarding the production. In fine condition, with a couple small corner creases. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
