Description

World War II’s number-one pin-up girl

Vintage sepia matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of McClelland Barclay’s rendition of Grable’s famous 1943 pin-up pose, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Chuck—Best always, Betty Grable.” In fine condition, with some scattered light creasing along top edge. It was during her reign as box office queen (in 1943) that Grable posed for this famous pin-up photo, which (along with her movies) soon became escapist fare among GIs fighting in World War II. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
