American inventor and entrepreneur (1854–1932), founder of the Eastman Kodak company, whose invention of roll film revolutionized photography and helped make the once-specialized art and craft a popular pastime. TLS signed “Geo Eastman,” one page, 8.5 x 7.5, Eastman Kodak letterhead, September 14, 1911. Letter to Dr. Gould in New York concerning an upcoming visit. In part: “I can arrange to put off my visit to New York until the 28th inst. I hope this will be convenient for you.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, a bit of light toning, and a couple blue pencil marks to top.
