Henry Cotton

He was the top British golfer of his time and went on to win the Open three times. ALS signed “Henry,” one page, 7 x 8.5, A Caseta da Marina, Monte Carlo letterhead, December 3, 1952. Letter to Francis Ricardo concerning a new set of golf clubs. In part: “So you will receive a set for her & a set of woods with head covers so all ya need to do is dig up an old bag…the woods are just to fill the bag & are not for Yvette, she will hold them for me.” In fine condition, with a bisecting vertical fold, and a couple small brushes to text. Uncommon and often forgotten member of the golfing elite. Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
