Self-proclaimed “anti-modernist” German composer (1869–1949), best known for his opera Palestrina, based on the life of the famed sixteenth-century composer. Ink signature, “Hans Pfitzner,” on an off-white 5 x 8.25 card, to which later was affixed a small clipped photo. In fine condition, with a gallery stamp and pencil notations to top edge, and two horizontal creases, not affecting signature. RRAuction COA.
