Vintage 4 x 5.25 cardstock reprint of Yousef Karsh’s portrait of Shaw, seated in a chair, holding his glasses in his hand and looking rather bemusedly at the camera, signed and inscribed vertically in black ink “To W. Jim Forsyth, at his request from G. Bernard Shaw, 8th July 1944.” In fine condition, with some slight creasing to top right corner tip. Shaw photos of this quality are scarce, as he disliked most photos of himself, but Karsh undoubtedly took what most consider the finest photos of themselves, so perhaps Shaw was slightly less reluctant to sign.
