Collector’s scrapbook, 8 x 11, filled with clipped photos, cartoons, and articles regarding bowling, as well as “Sam Snead’s Golf Tips,” dating from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. Scrapbook features a vintage original George Burke 7.25 x 9.25 photo of Hartnett in his Cubs uniform, affixed to the inside back cover, signed and inscribed “To my friend Merle, real people—what more can I say. My best always, Leo ‘Gabby’ Hartnett.” Also featured inside is a Chicago Sun Bowling Achievement citation for a 758 rolled by Merle Whitton, signed in pencil by the bowling alley proprietor, “Charles L. ‘Gabby’ Hartnett.” Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
